RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for effective management of the full range of human resource functions including employee relations, HR compliance, ongoing DBEI work, professional training & development, compensation/benefits, & performance management. Must be thrilled to be part of a creative and high growth environment that welcomes an entrepreneurial mind set.
What's expected…
• Liaise with company payroll to manage administrative processes around the full-time employment lifecycle
• Managing HR programs and processes (compensation, performance management, talent reviews, etc.) to ensure the desired objectives and outcomes are attained
• Work with company administration to run and oversee employment lifecycle for seasonal employees, performers, technicians and independent contractors
• Maintain records and oversight of personnel-related data, including all regulatory labor and employment compliance certifications, notices, and performance appraisals
• Spearhead and develop employee engagement activities
• Handle employee relations and disputes
• Update, manage, and implement standard operating procedures, including company handbooks for all employment classifications
• Manage other area-specific HR projects, as necessary

What you bring…
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Arts Administration or Organizational Management. Master's degree preferred
• Confident professional experience in HR management preferably in the live entertainment industry
• Experience leading and managing a team
• Consultative and influencing skills to work closely with executive team
• Strong knowledge of legal and government processes as they apply to labor and employment laws, rules, and regulations (understanding of HR outside of North America a plus)
• Ensure HR operational integrity and compliance with all related policies and procedures (workers compensation rules and protocols, unemployment rules and protocols, etc.)
• Empathy, interpersonal skills, and creativity in planning the FUN
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong strategic and organizational skills, attention to detail with an ability to operate on both conception and implementation levels
• Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adhere to strict confidential requirements and exercise good judgment
