Rogers & Cowan is seeking a talented Senior Account Executive to join our Brand & Lifestyle team in New York. Our dynamic group works across various categories including fashion, beauty, luxury, spirits, hospitality and consumer brands. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of agency experience working in related industries, and be able to develop and execute integrated strategies that meet at the intersection of media relations, influencer, special events, strategic partnerships and celebrity/entertainment focused programming.
Candidates should be tapped in culturally and be able to identify and apply related industry and pop culture trends to client work and strategies. Strong lifestyle, hospitality and consumer media contacts are a requirement, as well as exceptional writing, pitching and time management skills. It's also important to have experience with client relations and a proven track record of success delivering results. Special event experience is necessary, particularly with red carpets, high-profile sponsorships, product launches, openings, stunts, media education events and influencer activations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Execute PR programs around strategically led celebrity and influencer collaborations, brand activations and buzz-building pop culture events
Support multiple accounts with the ability to perform within a fast-paced environment, adhering to deadlines while driving consistent results
Participate in program development and take responsibility for executing key programs such as press previews, influencer programs, brand activations, product launches, consumer-facing experiences, etc.
Creative and strategic approach to pitching and ability to deliver feature, profile, news stories across all media platforms
Develop and maintain relationships with influential media to secure and grow coverage
Draft, edit and issue pitches, press releases, media alerts, proposals and client strategies
Special event experience: planning, production, pitching, on-site leadership, red carpet, etc.
Ability to elevate client profiles and brand visibility through media placements, strategic introductions and industry events/organizations/affiliations
Develop non-traditional PR tactics that include influencer programming, event activations and on-brand partnerships
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
3+ years of directly related public relations experience; agency experience is a must
Proven ability to lead day-to-day client projects and activities
Established, strong media relationships in the following categories: lifestyle, hospitality, fashion, beauty and business
Successfully manage communications with multiple clients simultaneously
Exceptional communication skills - strong presenter, excellent writer, AP Style proficient
Related industry relationships, blogger network and established database of industry contacts that can translate into event, partnership/sponsorship and high-profile buzz-building opportunities
Must be strategic and creative in story and program concept development, and press outreach
Team player, positive attitude, good energy and strong work ethic
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, creative, high-energy, team-oriented atmosphere
Ability to develop and nurture client confidence and relationships
Strong understanding of the editorial calendar, current events, pop culture, seasonal and related industry trends, industry events and associations
Experience working with celebrities, influencers and industry VIPs
Understands value in networking
