Merchandise Intern (Full Season)
Job Description:
The Merchandising Intern position revolves around the operation of Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium's Official Team Store during Spring Training and the Florida State League. This department covers all merchandise sales throughout the store and portable locations within the concourse. This intern reports directly to the Merchandising Manager.
Duties:
• Responsible for all aspects of the retail operation at the stadium .
• Organizing, receiving/counting new merchandise
• Distributing and keeping track of merchandise given to portable and store locations
• Helping process orders and using the computerized inventory system to monitor and control inventory levels
• Keeping store and warehouse merchandise organized at all times
• Creating displays, operating the computerized retail system
• Working with the part time store and portable employees during games
• Supervising store and portable employees during Spring Training games
• Distributing promotional items in the community as well as assisting with any team mascot or player appearances at the ballpark or in the community
Experience Required:
• Impeccable organizational skills
• Personable
• Customer service experience
• Willing to work long hours and weekends in a fast-paced environment
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and possess internet skills
• Cash handling skills
• Work all Marlins and Cardinals Spring Training games
• Must be willing to complete internship through mid-September
• Able to lift at least 50lbs.
• Knowledge of Retail Pro a plus
Salary: Florida State Minimum Wage
