Social Media Director - Music Industry
Position Summary:
Responsible for developing strategic plans and managing all social media initiatives within the music industry for Relentless Artist Management, Inc. (company) and their clients.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and grow all social media properties for the company and their clients, including social media sites, websites, email lists, streaming platforms, and more.
- Oversee digital tour marketing initiatives to increase ticket sales for touring acts.
- Collect and monitor digital growth data and digital highlights to create monthly reports, or key highlight reports for client and company review.
- Attend industry events and build brand awareness of the company and clients.
- Connect and develop personal relationships with contacts at digital, media and tech companies.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 2-3 years experience in marketing and/or digital marketing, within the entertainment industry is preferable.
- Orange County resident, or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and help post daily and promotional content for clients and company on social media platforms
- Create and manage the development of visual assets for social media properties, promoters, agencies, and more.
- Monitor social growth/highlights and create regular data reports
- Monitor social platforms fan engagement
- Update client and company websites (news items, banners, tour dates)
- Craft and send regular e-blasts for individual client email lists.
- Generate and oversee social media timelines and rollouts for RAM's roster
- Troubleshoot with clients as they need social media assistance
- Represent company at digital, tech and industry events
- Develop relationships with social media/dsps/digital companies and key personnel
- Post and update tour dates for clients across all applicable sites
- Develop strategic social media advertising plans for key rollouts including tour, single, album, etc.
- Coordinate social postings with promoters and third party digital partners
- Research and evaluate new and emerging platforms to determine best use
- Research revenue generation opportunities for clients via third party platforms
- Monitor VIP sales and develop promotional plans to increase awareness
- Develop strategic tour marketing plans utilizing artist and local social media/digital platforms including Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Beats, Bands In Town, Shazam, local blogs, media, event calendars, etc.
