Reel One Entertainment is a leading worldwide distributor of TV Movies and TV series with offices in Los Angeles, Montreal, Vancouver and London. We are looking for an International Sales Manager for Latin America to join our team based in Montreal.
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive VP - Distribution, you will sell our content in Latin America including Brazil and USA. As such, you will:
• You will grow our revenue by successfully licensing our American TV movies and TV series to TV broadcasters and VOD platforms
• Research and keep ahead of the fast-changing TV landscape, using industry e-zines, news articles, contacts in your network etc. to be able to
• Identify and target suitable broadcast partners for our content (keeping ahead of re-brands, channel launches, failing slots, new media etc.)
• Maintain a precise record of your broadcasters' slots/schedules/target demographic/brand/key competition, using our CRM system
• Strategically window TVOD/SVOD/Pay TV/Basic TV/Free TV rights in the most profitable way
• Carve out languages/rights to maximise the number of possible deals in the same territory
• Set up repeat volume and output deals to build consistent network of clients
• Be in regular contact with the broadcasters (may involve some cold-calling initially), attend key TV markets, such as NATPE MIAMI, MIP CANCUN, VENTANA SUR, RIO CONTENT plus regular individual trips to territories to meet clients locally
• Provide territory forecasts
• Weekly report on deal cycle status and potential clients
The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following:
• Bilingual Spanish and English - Spanish is a must
• Portuguese speaker - asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 2 to 5 years' experience in sales of TV programming. Experience in selling commercial TV movies and dramatic TV series is a plus
• Proven track record of generating new business
• A driven and proactive personality - an ability to elicit responses from international, busy broadcasters
• Ability to liaise easily with international internal departments and worldwide buyers
• Efficiency and organisation - managing your own workday and travel, recording information
• Ability to work through complex Rights and Licensing puzzles
• Available to travel monthly
