Full Time Paid Internship
WHAT'S EXCITING ABOUT THIS JOB:
The Graphic Design Specialist Intern will be responsible for developing and designing – idea to execution – a wide range of print, creative campaigns and digital marketing materials across multiple platforms in a fast-paced, community-oriented environment. We are looking for a strong designer who is confident and comfortable leading creative pieces. This person will work on design projects such as print ads, direct mail, web banners, emails, invitations, signage, social media graphics, sales sheets, etc. for various tradeshow campaigns within the US. This position also provides general marketing, communication and visual design support to Associates to ensure a high quality of work is produced.
This paid internship is from March to May for 24 hours each week.
BRING YOUR PASSION AND EXPERTISE:
• Have strong creative and design skills with an ''eye for design'' to develop original concepts and overall layout
• Produce accurate, high quality work within multiple project deadlines and show branding guidelines
• Work with design team and marketing associates to meet design project needs
• Comfortable working independently and leading creative for different brands
• Enthusiasm for their work and willingness to put in longer hours as required in busier seasons
• Proactively contribute new ideas and best practices for marketing materials
• Design campaign collateral and templates for print ads, direct mail, web banners, emails, invitations, signage, social media graphics, sales sheets, etc.
• Assist with brand development as needed including logos, new creative ads, design elements, typography, color and imagery
• Serve as a ''go-to resource'' for design tips and tricks and best practices to Marketing Associates to drive efficiencies with project execution and turnaround time
• Prepare print-ready design files for production
SKILLS SETS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong creative/design skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Social Media Platforms
• Excellent communication skills to understand and present creative ideas
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Collaborative team player who works well in a team and across departments
• Video and Motion Graphics editing skills are a plus: Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Animations, Post-Production Creative Design, Adobe After Effects, Premiere
