Full Time Position
Boutique entertainment law firm seeks Associate Attorney for open full-time position. Candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in narrative series and narrative feature motion pictures. Experience must be post-law school as a practicing attorney (i.e., not including internships or work as a contract administrator).
Candidate must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and simultaneously work with various types of clients (e.g., producers, production companies, financiers, distributors, etc.) on projects of varying budget levels.
Candidate will be expected to draft and negotiate development agreements (e.g., option/purchase agreements, writer agreements, shopping/attachment agreements, etc.), ATL and BTL production agreements and financing-related documentation. Duties will also include assisting clients in drafting, reviewing and processing clearance issues, guild matters, location agreements, vendor agreements, third-party material licenses, music licenses, and other contracts related to motion picture productions. Familiarity with the signatory processes for the DGA, WGA and SAG-AFTRA are preferred, but not required.
Requirements
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active member of the California State Bar
Minimum of two (2) years of experience, as set forth above.
