This is a contract position
Description of Role:
The Contract Programming Coordinator will join Redbox's Editorial Team, which manages editorial strategy, merchandising, and scheduling for Redbox's On Demand digital offerings. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in program planning/scheduling, broadcast operations, or content programming, and have a passion for movies and TV.
Responsibilities:
• Strategic and tactical implementation of daily and monthly programming scheduling of a high volume content slate across all On Demand offerings
• Support the scheduling team in all aspects of content curation, merchandising and programming strategy
• Create and monitor merchandising schedules and calendars for Redbox promotional levers including custom digital assets and collections
• Track, proof, optimize and manage metadata related to content programming
• Collaborate with Editorial Manager for the development and creation of consumer-facing promotional elements and ensure compliance with brand guidelines from content owners
• Liaise with operations and content acquisitions teams to ensure all content-related required assets are accounted for and scheduled sufficiently
• Support the broader team in reporting as necessary.
• Attend meetings, take detailed notes, and follow up with next steps as needed.
• Quality Check all merchandising implementations across Redbox digital platforms
Required Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of the entertainment industry
• Strong understanding of digital/traditional programming and merchandising strategies and services
• Strategic, self-motivated, creative problem-solver who is flexible and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing deadlines
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, superb time management skills
• Familiarity with web publishing platforms and content management systems
• Passion for content, specifically with movies and television
Education/Experience:
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in programming/scheduling, on-air promotions, broadcast operations, or digital entertainment merchandising
