Search for Music Rights Specialist jobs in Santa Monica-CA
As a Music Rights Specialist, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day copyright functions for Red Bull Music Publishing. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Global Administration and liaise with Red Bull creatives, client managers and attorneys to gather the necessary information to register our works with performance rights societies and sub-publishers.
What You Would Be Doing:
- Accurate and timely data entry of song data to Music Maestro and Airtable
- Manage client-setup in Music Maestro
- Song submissions to the U.S. Copyright Office
- Resolution of split disputes
- Deliver LODs and CWR/catalog to licensees, PROs, and other business partners on a bi-weekly basis
- Research and answer requests from external parties, writers, managers and collection societies
- Update global roster and deal tracker on a weekly basis
- Monitor and track agreement MDRC
- Clear sample requests
- Maintain an updated list of clients' recorded and released songs
- Continuously seek to improve and streamline copyright processes and increase efficiency
- Assisting with royalties process from time to time
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required
What We Think You Need to Get It Done
- 3+ years' experience in copyright with an understanding of royalty cycles
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited academic institution
- Proficient in Music Maestro or iMaestro, MS Excel (Advance), Microsoft Office Suite
- Airtable, Trello, Basecamp a plus but not required
- Ability to prioritize and consistently meet deadlines
- Passionate about music, publishing and music industry as a whole
- Team player- able to work well and manage relationships with others
- Must be an effective verbal and written communicator
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service
