We are looking for a tech-savvy IT Support Specialist to be responsible for providing technical assistance with computer systems, hardware, and software. As an IT Support Specialist, you are responsible for responding to email, or in person inquiries and offering technical support to employees using computer systems, hardware, and software. To be a successful help desk technician, you should be well-versed in all aspects of computer systems configuration, set up, and maintenance. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance
• Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
• Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by employees
• Walk the employee through the problem-solving process
• Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
• Offering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
• Follow-up and update employee status and information
• Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
• Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
• BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field required
