Full Time Job
The law office of Pryor Cashman LLP is looking for a full time legal secretary for our Media & Entertainment Group in Century City. Much of our business revolves around negotiating transactions for feature films, television and digital media (including financing and distribution), as well as litigation (both entertainment-related and general). Candidate will be responsible for supporting transactional entertainment attorneys who work closely with agents, studio executives, producers, writers, and directors. Candidate must be detail oriented, professional, organized, and efficient. Agency training is a plus!
Duties will include rolling calls, correspondence (email, FedEx, letters, etc.), drafting/ editing/ filing legal documents & contracts, managing multiple attorney calendars via MS Outlook, reconciling check requests, arranging travel, scheduling meetings, general admin, and other duties as assigned.
Hours will be 10:00am - 6:00pm M - F. Candidate must also have the ability to work occasional paid overtime. Competitive salary, paid vacation, and full benefits package.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, preferably in film, communications, or a related field. Must have a passion for the entertainment industry and an excellent command of the English language. Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe suites highly preferred. Prior entertainment industry experience is required (internship experience is acceptable). Prior legal experience is a plus, but not required.
