About the Role

In partnership with our PEO payroll specialist, the payroll coordinator is responsible for preparing all necessary functions related to accurately processing time and earnings information for the employees of the company.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review and process time records for all hourly & salary employees.
• Help prepare standard and exception employee record changes and payroll transactions.
• Answer various employee and management queries regarding payroll information.
• Prepare, review and approve all requests for payroll checks to be processed outside of the regular payroll processing schedule.
• Prepare and submit payroll to our PEO.
• Help maintain, archive and secure all required payroll related data and records required by the company and governmental authorities.
• Maintain balancing reports for payroll totals for Finance.
• File employee change paperwork and absence requests weekly
• Process Personnel Action Forms as they come into HR.
• Maintain Headcount Data for Finance & Operations.
• Other duties as assigned within scope of role.
Required Skills:
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels.
• Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:
Education:
• High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
• 5 years general payroll experience
• Experience in the Entertainment/Media and/or Technology industries is highly preferred
