Intern - Artist Marketing/Management

Music Internship for 2012

Multi-faceted music studio seeks intern for event and social media marketing, promotion, and artist devel./management. Opportunity to work with a variety of artists ranging from folk, rock, pop, country, kid's music, and especially singer-songwriters, all under one roof. Some political work will be involved as well.

Looking for self starter types, people who understand responsibility. Would like hard workers, able to think on their feet, sharp, and willing to take direction and take pride in their work. If you cannot complete your work on time, then please do not apply. Dedication a must!! Will work with the artist directly. Would prefer people with at least basic HTML knowledge. Photoshop, ProTools, FinalCut a plus. WORDPRESS is BIG plus.

MIN 16-40 hours a week.

Done from home/online at set times weekly. Needs access to Skype/I chat. Some flexibility in the hours is OK, but some hours are set. Mac users/owners preferred.

Bi-monthly meetings at the studio to review.

Tasks will be assigned. Management will be available online during this time period to answer questions and provide direction. A running list of tasks/assignments and their status will be kept by the intern and used each time- to be updated and submitted at the conclusion of the day's work period.

Projects may include: some graphic design, preparing mailings, sending emails, internet research, promotion, social media, bookings, video editing, recording sessions.
