As employees of the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Quarter, we bring people together to create extraordinary moments and lasting memories through the power of sports and entertainment.
We are seeking a Web Designer that will lead the design and development of websites and email to support our organization's digital initiatives. This includes wireframing, designing, and coding new webpages and sites; integrating sites with back end applications; migrating legacy applications to the web; crafting a comprehensive email design strategy; and performing day-to-day administration of the organization's Web portfolio.
We are looking for a highly-organized and creative professional with a real passion for improving the digital experiences of Portland Trail Blazers fans and Rose Quarter attendees. This person needs to be a natural at establishing relationships with internal clients and is the ultimate teammate. Our Web Designer will assist in designing and developing on a variety of projects for digital platforms including websites, social media and mobile. We're seeking someone who is fearless when it comes to taking risks in the digital space!
You will be responsible for:
• Developing, designing and managing websites and pages for all organizational verticals.
• Leading email design strategy and development for the organization.
• Performing A/B testing across digital products to optimize performance and increase conversions.
• Training the digital team on new web technologies that focuses on generating content for our websites and social media outlets.
• Being a liaison between our digital and analytics teams.
• Supporting lead generation and data acquisition.
• Working closely with NBA league digital staff to continuously improve the digital experience for Trail Blazers fans.
You are qualified if:
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Graphic Design or other applicable major.
• You have two-four years of related experience working in sports, in-house or an agency environment.
• You have an eye-catching design portfolio that showcases your design and development experience.
• You are strong in web design using HTML and CSS.
• You are proficient in Javascript.
• You are an expert in Adobe CC.
• You are well-versed in online CMS - Wordpress and/or Drupal preferred.
• You have a good design eye - UI/UX is your expertise!
• You have experience designing and maintaining digital products and programs.
• You have a passion for social media, emerging technologies and an eagerness to learn new applications and softwares.
• You are open and responsive to design feedback and changes.
• You are a strong communication and able to provide status updates effectively to internal stakeholders and clients.
• You are a self-starter and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
