As employees of the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Quarter, we bring people together to create extraordinary moments and lasting memories through the power of sports and entertainment.
To support our pursuit, we are looking for a Junior Applications Developer to build and maintain software applications in support of the front office and coaching staff. This person needs to be comfortable developing web applications in a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Python/Perl). And a passion for basketball is a must!
You will be responsible for:
• Developing basketball applications for use by the front office and coaching staff.
• Maintaining existing basketball applications.
• Collaborating on basketball applications within the team.
You are qualified if:
• You have demonstrated programming experience in PHP, Python or Perl.
• You have familiarity with JavaScript/AJAX.
• You have experience designing APIs and visualizations.
• You are able to work in Mac OS X and Linux environments.
• You have experience working with relational databases (SQL).
• You are comfortable using version control (Git, Subversion, etc.).
• You have experience developing iOS applications - preferred.
• You have experience with basketball metrics - preferred.
