Engineer (Part-Time)

To support our pursuit, we are seeking a part-time Engineer who will ensure consistent operation and maintenance of all heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment used in the daily operations of the Rose Quarter. You will also assist, as necessary, with special event productions.
You will be responsible for :
• Maintaining the buildings' fire life safety equipment.
• Starting and checking equipment for proper operation.
• Operating the building management system.
• Operating equipment related to the making of ice for hockey and other ice shows.
• Performing preventative maintenance on buildings' HVAC equipment.
• Performing miscellaneous repair work incidental to operating duties.
• Assisting with special event preparations and post-event needs as deemed necessary; e.g., set-ups, clean-up etc.
• Keeping records of operations, temperatures, pressures, fuel consumed, etc.
• Other projects as assigned.
You are qualified if :
• You have completed the State of Oregon apprenticeship for operating Engineers or equivalent accredited training.
• You have four years' experience as an operating Engineer in a large commercial facility.
• You are tech savvy and can operate a PC and associated Windows applications.
• You are knowledgeable of operation and maintenance of low-pressure boilers and centrifugal chillers.
• You love working with a diverse group of people including facility personnel, tenants and clients.
• You can craft and read blueprint drawings including mechanical, electrical, and air conditioning.
• You can maintain and repair plumbing fixtures
• You understand electrical, mechanical and pneumatic controls.
• You are able to work nights, holidays and weekends as dictated by the Rose Quarter event's schedule.
