Point.360 is a full-service entertainment media company offering episodic and feature picture finishing, content management, audio, localization, quality control, film scanning & restoration and media storage services. Our localization department is currently hiring a Technical Coordinator to assist in integrating new software into our workflow as well as managing complex subtitling projects.
About the Job:
• Maintain current software platform and assist in deployment of new features
• Troubleshoot technical issues, both inside and outside of the software platform
• Research and implement efficiencies for the localization workflow through automation
• Manage priorities, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Proactively communicate with clients; manage expectations and keep them informed of project milestones
• Proactively communicate with other departments to manage workflow and/or resolve problems as they arise
About you:
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal guidance.
• Thrives on technical challenges and takes pride in solving them.
• Strategic thinking both technically and business-wise.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be a self-motivated self-starter that can initiate ideas.
• Strong ability to dive into the unknown and create clarity amid chaos.
• Experience with supporting people remotely.
• Flexible amid an ever-changing and growing environment.
Requirements:
• 2 years of localization management and/or project management experience
• Experience with coding and software development preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree (Ideally this would be in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, though not required.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of modern operating systems, desktop\web troubleshooting; terminal and/or command line
• Some knowledge of coding, programming languages, and software development
• Understanding of current localization and digital delivery workflows and how technology is used (and could be used in future) to facilitate best practices.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Communication skills to clearly articulate and document technical processes
• Able to communicate effectively with management and staff
• Performs duties as workload necessitates
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
• Meet Department productivity standards
