Job Description - Chief Academic Officer (CAO), Point Blank Los Angeles?
Established in London in 1994 and voted - 'Best Music Production & DJ School', Point Blank teaches the creative process of making music at the highest level, with expert instructors and state-of-the-art facilities. Many graduates have enjoyed successful careers in music including Claude?VonStroke, Goldie, Nicole Moudaber, Leona Lewis, Patrick Topping,?Monki?and Felix Jaehn.?
Now established in Los Angeles, we are looking to fill the following roleā¦.
The Chief Academic Officer (CAO) is the person primarily responsible for the administration of Point Blank Music School's academic affairs including the supervision of faculty, development of educational programs and curricula, and as it relates to the the institution's mission, purposes and objectives. This role requires vision and experience in education and the?regulatory?landscape. The CAO serves as a liaison and ensures compliance in the education department with requirements for?regulatory agencies.
Role Summary
External and internal quality management
Oversight of course design and development
Academic management
Education Department HR
Representing Point Blank externally
Providing a link between laws, regulations and practice
Strategic planning/investigation for education side of the business
Lead on Point Blank submissions to external agencies including the Annual reports to BPPE
Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor enrollment, FTE, fill rates and faculty loads to ensure optimal course offerings
Serve on school standing committees (i.e. Safety, Admissions Selection, Appeals, Grievance, Program Development)
Serve as a liaison to regulatory agencies of academic programs
Advise CEO and COO on academic, budgetary, and personnel matters pertaining to curriculum
General Qualifications - Non-Degree Institution
Education: The Chief Academic Officer shall possess a degree or equivalent acceptable experience at least equal to the highest qualifications required of the institution's faculty.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in academics and senior level management experience

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff and students as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to develop successful strategies for enrollment growth, student success and student retention.
Salary dependent on experience
