Pocket.watch, the new kids media brand for the mobile generation, is seeking an experienced clearance coordinator to advise and guide production and development teams on clearance issues. We're looking for a real team player who's excited to work on the newest kinds of content formats and catalogs, including a combination of short and long-form programming, scripted and unscripted, new production as well as library material. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is eager to get scrappy and collaborate across teams to troubleshoot clearance challenges on the fly. Excellent communication skills and experience working with legal personnel is a must.

Responsibilities:
• Develop systems and workflows to efficiently identify, track, address and document clearance issues across departments.
• Work with development and production teams (including outside producing partners) to provide guidance and methodologies for minimizing clearance needs before production begins.
• Review video content, both from catalog and new production, to identify clearance issues including music, artwork, logos, etc.
• Work with production teams to apply clearance solutions.
• Collaborate with legal personnel on risk and liability assessments associated with potential clearance issues, and to obtain licensing agreements and permissions from third-parties.
• Research potential third-party claims and obtain licenses and permissions as needed.
Requirements:
• 3 to 5 years of clearance experience for video productions
• Strong experience working with legal and creative teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to negotiate and redline agreements
• Enjoy chasing down third-parties for permissions/licenses
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Team player
• Positive troubleshooter and problem solver
• Highly organized with ability to systemize work
• Passion for kids content
