PMK●BNC New York is seeking a Director/Vice President to lead a key consumer retail account as well as other consumer brand accounts. The ideal candidate has experience successfully leading their teams in the planning, development and execution of best-in-class, mutli-channel PR programs including media relations, social media outreach, brand positioning, content development, talent engagement, budget management and client/account management. This person should have excellent people-management skills and mastered the client/agency process. She/he will bring an entrepreneurial mindset to the account and inspirational style to managing the team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Serve as day-to-day leader for account team members ranging from account supervisors to administrative assistants
• Develop and maintain strong personal relationship with senior clients
• As team strategist, provide leadership, direction and guidance to account team
• Build and lead traditional and social media relations strategies
• Create and deliver client presentations and plans
• Attend account reviews and staff meetings - provide ongoing communications and feedback
• Develop quality standards and ensure client satisfaction
• Supervise all writing and editing and provide direction to ensure quality control
• Manage account finances, develop accurate estimates and adhere to approved budgets
• Identify and develop growth opportunities
• Work with peers to further the mission, goals and culture of the agency
Requirements:
• 9 years of media relations experience; large agency/ client experience is a plus
• Experience in consumer retail a must
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Public Relations or Marketing preferred
• Previous experience in managing mid to senior level clients
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Experience managing multiple short and long term plans and strategies simultaneously
• Exceptional judgment when working with team members, client contacts and vendors
