Account Coordinator, Brand Communications (Special Events)
PMK• BNC Los Angeles office is currently seeking an Account Coordinator to support our Brand Communications department focusing on Special Events. Candidate must be a self-starter, able to multi-task and prioritize multiple running projects. Must have strong attention to detail and possess great client service skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Providing administrative support for the teams including setting up conference calls, meetings, taking notes and other tasks as needed
• Monitoring media coverage for clients, tracking media impressions, creating/maintaining coverage reports and grids, and managing press clippings
• Staffing red carpet events including award shows, premieres, venue openings, non-profit galas, etc. (including select nights and weekends)
• Maintaining and coordinating calendar for Vice President (and account teams) as needed
• Answering phones, rolling calls, taking messages for team as needed
• Responsive and informative client/industry interaction via phone, e-mail, and in-person
• Handling incoming press requests and some potential pitching of stories to media outlets
• Ongoing maintenance and updating of media lists
• Reviewing and editing materials including press releases, media alerts, and credential grids
• Covering client walkthroughs, press junkets, and all client related activities
• Read daily, weekly, monthly and online publications to identify client-relevant media coverage, including competitive market and industry information
• Contribute to client brainstorms with creative ideas
• Draft briefing documents as needed by team and client
Required Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Proficient in Cision and other PR tools and programs (Critical Mention, Muck Rack, MailChimp, Alexa, etc.)
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
• Experience in events and red carpets is a plus
• Administrative support experience in a fast moving corporate or agency setting preferred
• Professional, yet friendly people skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful
• Sincere interest in the evolving media landscape and emerging marketing techniques and platforms
• Excellent team player
