LA3C Marketing Manager
Temporary Position (June through mid-late December 2022)
Los Angeles-based remote role with in-person meetings
Fast-growing media company Penske Media Corporation (PMC) is seeking a temporary Marketing Manager for PMC’s inaugural culture festival, LA3C. The event is a celebration of Los Angeles taking place December 10-11, 2022 at LA State Historic Park. Over two days, LA3C promises to cultivate the best of LA with headlining musical talent, bold art installations, and food that represents the diverse palate of the city.
This is a remote role based in Los Angeles from June through mid-late December 2022. Qualified candidates must be available for in-person staff meetings at PMC’s West Los Angeles offices and available to work the nights and weekend of December 9-11, 2022.
Reporting to the LA3C’s Senior Director of Marketing, the temporary Marketing Manager’s responsibilities include:
• Work across teams to create and maintain LA3C’s content and promotions calendar
• Plan and execute digital marketing initiatives, including email blasts, social media campaigns, digital ads and website updates
• Brainstorm and implement new and creative growth strategies to increase email subscribers, web traffic, social media followers and conversions to ticket buyers
• Assist in maintaining marketing deliverables calendar, ensuring assets are routed for necessary approvals and distributed on time
• Write and edit consumer facing copy for digital marketing initiatives
• Submit requests to graphic designers for marketing assets and route for the appropriate approvals
• Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and continuously optimize
• Collaborate with internal teams, media partners, agencies and vendors to execute marketing initiatives and special promotions as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• 5 years of marketing experience, preferably event marketing
• Demonstrable results from past consumer facing marketing campaigns
• Highly creative with experience identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and convert
• Proven ability and success managing and executing content and digital marketing campaigns
• Strong written communications skills, attention to detail and ability to distill key messages in order to inform and persuade
• A strong?visual sensibility and experience enforcing brand guidelines
• Excellent organizational skills?and?experience with project management in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
• Experience using WordPress or comparable CMS, as well as email marketing CRM
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
• Experience with MS Word, Power Point, Excel and SharePoint; experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
• Passion for music festivals and/or cultural events a plus
