PMC: IT Support Specialist (Level Two)
COVID-19 HIRING UPDATE: We have transitioned to a remote work model and are continuing to hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We appreciate this is unprecedented times and will work closely with you, taking into account your individual circumstances.
At PMC, an IT Support Specialist works within a broad skill set that includes helpdesk, specialized projects and company infrastructure. This is a lightly structured environment so we are seeking someone with strong independent judgment and common sense to work within a 9-person team distributed across New York and Los Angeles. The position is based from Los Angeles. Accommodations to work from home due to SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) are available.
As a whole team we keep over 1,000 end users operational every day and those end users are spread across brands such as Rolling Stone, Variety, Robb Report, WWD and more. The role is evolving and candidates must be willing to learn new technologies. A service-oriented attitude and strong communication skills are essential. This position requires the ability to shift between in-person, phone, email, and remote computer administration as needed to support end-users in any of our offices around the world.
Experience:
We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude and the willingness to train on skill sets they have little to no experience with. When submitting your resume, please include the skills with which you have the least (or no) experience from the list below:
• Proficient in both macOS and Windows environments with strong software and hardware troubleshooting skills
• Active Directory administration
• Troubleshooting email client issues (MS Outlook – client and browser-based)
• DFS connection troubleshooting
• Computer provisioning - Knowledge of Apple (Jamf) deployment and Windows (Windows Deployment Services) services (is a plus)
• Remote administration – ConnectWise, Apple Remote Desktop, Teamviewer and RDP
• Working with ticketing systems and within a workflow - Atlassian Jira Service Desk
• Working knowledge of iOS and Android OS
• VOIP – Avaya
• Exchange Online – power shell scripting (is a plus)
• Exchange/Office 365/GSuite administration
• Windows services environment experience – Active Directory, File Services, Permission management. DHCP, AD, VPN, Print and file services
• VPN using the following technologies (Pritunl, Windows VPN, Meraki)
• Wireless telecom administration through vendor portals (ATT, Verizon)
• Screen Capture and edit tools (Snagit, Greenshot and Adobe)
• In-depth knowledge of Outlook configuration, deployment and recovery
• Basic knowledge of network infrastructure – switches, port allocation, POE, patching, data drops, sub-netting, etc.
• Wi-Fi WAP allocation and troubleshooting – Meraki
Qualifications:

The Hiring Process
Following resume review and phone screen, every interview round is designed to give you an opportunity to meet members of our team and ask questions. The first round interview will be with one or both of the IT Services Managers and will focus on technical specifics and general team fit. This round may include a practical assessment. The second round will be with the IT Services Director and is more focused on general skills, culture fit and how you like to work. The third round would be more of a general discussion and this round will also include an opportunity to meet some of the team that you will work alongside.
