PMC: HR Coordinator
Penske Media Corp. (PMC) is expanding its Human Resources team with the addition of a new HR Coordinator position in our West LA headquarters. In this role, you will partner with the entire HR team to facilitate HR functions that foster organization and people development across our US and international operations. You will assist with needs in areas such as company events, cultural initiatives, HRIS, performance evaluation, internal communications, training and development, and talent acquisition.
Job description
• Onboarding and off-boarding; Oversee office tours; Assist with completion of all employment documentation; Coordinate exit interviews and execute off-boarding checklist
• Cultural initiatives: Assist in the anniversary recognition program, company event planning, town halls, and volunteer activities to promote a culture of collaboration and communication
• Personnel Matters: Provide exceptional customer service, both internally and externally, by exhibiting a high sense of urgency, exceptional follow through, and positive communications both verbally and in writing; Develop relationships of trust and provide a positive, helpful and collaborative environment where employees feel welcome; Pro-actively seek to ensure employees and the business have needed support; Be the eyes and ears of the organization to support a positive culture
• Benefits Administration: Participate in open enrollment, reporting, process benefit requests
• Performance Management: Assist with the performance management process, including, but not exclusive to: annual reviews, learning programs, and retention programs
• Recruitment: Assist our AVP of Talent Acquisition in recruitment, including reference checks and scheduling interviews
• Other responsibilities, not limited to running reports, updating personnel records, overseeing business cards, maintaining distribution lists and org charts
Required Qualifications
and Education
• Experience handling matters of confidentiality with utmost tact and diplomacy
• Strong interpersonal, oral and business writing communication skills, always with a high level of professionalism and courtesy
• General knowledge and experience in HR operations
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other useful tools
• Knowledge and experience with HR management systems and other HR software applications
• Preferred 1-2 years of experience in a HR capacity.
