At Plexus Entertainment we have a mission to bring technology solutions to filmed entertainment marketing. We are looking for a strong, talented team member to jump into an exciting role at our tech and entertainment startup.
We work with large and small movie distributors, media companies and industry associations and offer website building tools, specialized widgets and our API to our partners and clients. Our software is integrated with digital marketing campaigns for both independent and major movies and media sites, helping consumers find out how, when and where to watch their favorite content.
You will work, both independently and in conjunction with the tech team to develop and implement procedures to ensure data quality and delivery for movie and TV metadata, as well as data from movie theaters and online platforms like Amazon, iTunes, etc. You will also make suggestions to our team for systemic improvements based on your data analysis.
Interest and experience in working in the technology and entertainment industry is important. A successful candidate will be energetic, flexible and capable of working independently, with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
Requirements:
- Passion for analysis and critical evaluation of data sources/databases
- Strong verbal, written and communication skills
- Some experience writing SQL and/or querying databases
- Basic understanding of data pipelines, APIs and structured data
- Can-do positive attitude - enthusiastic, determined and persuasive
- Quick intellect and demonstrated ability to produce quality work under tight deadlines
- Must enjoy recognizing patterns, identifying systemic problems and data QA
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve and multitask
- Proficient with Excel
- Experience in working with digital marketing technology or ad tech a plus
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure data quality through data analysis and QA
- Manage both in-house and occasional out-of-office QA team
- Debug problems in existing data sources and pipelines
- Liaise with clients and providers to troubleshoot or improve existing systems
- Write data quality reports to share with team and track issues to ensure resolution
