Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and drive the E2E quality assurance process for high profile digital platform launch titles including the development and management of all format requirements, style guides, procedures, checklists metrics reporting, etc.
Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Develops quality assurance plans by conducting analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, and corrective actions.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Works with all department heads to review internal checklists and to ensure all required checks are included to achieve highest quality
Requirements:
5-8 years of digital post production and/or quality assurance experience in Localization is strongly preferred
BA/BS degree preferred
Proven experience in process improvement and have a continuous improvement mindset
Analytical thinking, strategic planning, attention to detail, thoroughness,
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Leading and managing a small staff
Dealing with complexity
Strong technical skills and knowledge of tools and devices in QA and digital media
Knowledge of audio and video formats
Knowledge of standard subtitle requirements for film and TV
Experience in media industry and post-production workflows
Knowledge of home entertainment electronic devices (A/V receivers, TV, DVD players, BD players)
Knowledge in newer media format related to home entertainment (i.e. UHD, object based audio, Dolby Vision, etc.)
Interest in industry trend, upcoming technology, products, etc.
