Full Time Job
You will be designing software for professionals who are experts in their craft. The ideal candidate is able to take the knowledge gained from human-centered research and turn it into designs for powerful and elegant workflows that will be used day in and day out. You are of two minds: one to think broadly about the entire system and the other, equally obsessed, with designing the minute interactions. You have project-based experience where you have collaboratively designed a complex system with other designers, end-users, and developers.
A key aspect of the role is engaging with the artist community and conveying the designs in a way that effectively elicits insights about the artists' process. This means you are a great communicator who is comfortable presenting to large groups and facilitating conversations between multiple constituents.
You will work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage a wide range of design deliverables. You must have strong problem solving and analytical abilities as well as the responsibility to prepare, present, and iterate upon detailed design specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• A portfolio that showcases both strong visual and interaction design work
• Fluency in a variety of user-research methodologies (for example, contextual interviews, surveys, and group discussions)
• Ability to express design concepts through wireframes, storyboards, and full-fidelity mockups, using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch and other similar tools
• Ability to create click-through prototypes (for example, in Keynote, After Effects, Principle or other interactive frameworks)
• Ability to convincingly articulate your design rationale, both visually, orally, and in writing
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Masters in Design, HCI, CS or related field
• Industry experience designing workflows in a complex problem space
• Experience in 3D or media production processes
