Full Time Unpaid Internship
A Technical Director internship consists of real-world work assisting in the production of a feature film. Our interns work alongside our Technical Directors and contribute as full members of the technical team. We are looking for students who possess many of the skills of our technical directors and are interested in expanding their knowledge of the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Produce realistic crowd animation ranging from several to several thousand characters using a sophisticated simulation framework
• Develop crowd simulation tools and methods
• Work with other technical artists as well as animators and designers
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Working towards a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Digital Art or a related field; recent grads who are within one year of graduation are also eligible to apply
• Programming experience in C/C and/or a scripting language such as Python
• A strong sense of aesthetic demonstrating an understanding of physical motion, weight, - balance, lighting, texture, and form
• Experience using 3D software packages such as Houdini, Maya, Katana, RenderMan, etc.
• Experience in Unix/Linux systems
