Full Time Unpaid Internship
Pixar Animation Studios has an exciting internship opportunity for a talented software engineering student who has a passion for the quality of code. The Foundation team is responsible for extending and supporting the infrastructure for Pixar's proprietary toolset, Presto. In this position you will work closely with the Build and QA Teams on infrastructure tools such as test automation, continuous deployment and engineering support tools. Through this ''hands on'' experience you will work get first hand knowledge of our unique production environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop or enhance GUI and command line utilities for engineering, production, and QA to improve overall development workflows
• Develop and execute test scenarios
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong software design and coding skills in C/C
• Excellent scripting language skills in a language such as Python
• Quality-oriented, preferably with knowledge of QA methodology, processes, and tools
• Cross platform experience (Macintosh, Linux)
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and patient
• Experience with 3D graphics concepts and applications helpful
ELIGIBILITY:
• Must be at least a junior in college working towards a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD; Recent grads who are within one year of graduation are also eligible to apply
• Submit a short personal statement (200 words or less) explaining your interest in software development at Pixar
• Must be available to work full-time for 12 weeks between May 2019 – Sept 2019
