Full Time Unpaid Internship
Pixar's Linux Systems team is offering an internship for students interested in Systems Engineering and DevOps. For 12 weeks you will collaborate with the Linux Systems team to work on projects where you will enhance infrastructure automation and developer experience. You will write code and utilize technologies to help us build and maintain infrastructure with reliability and security in mind.
If you are someone with an interest in complex systems and a curiosity about how to make them easier to use and more reliable, this may be the internship for you!
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux
• Applied experience with Git
• Intermediate experience with Python or Go programming languages
• Understanding of computer hardware architecture
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Bonus: Familiarity with technologies such as Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes and OpenStack
• Positive, professional and proactive attitude
• Team-oriented with the flexibility and gumption to work alone as needed
• Must already possess the legal authorization to work in the US
ELIGIBILITY:
• Must be at least a junior in college working towards a Bachelor's degree or greater; Recent grads who are within one year of graduation are also eligible to apply
• Must provide a short personal statement (200 words or less) explaining why you are interested in working with network administration at Pixar
• Must be available to work full-time Mon-Fri for 12-weeks between May 2019 – August 2019
