Our Post Production Engineering team crafts software to support all of Pixar's post production pipeline, including color grading, localization, packaging, delivery, and media asset archiving. Together with our internal clients, we've built a complex production pipeline and our tools can generate terabytes of new media in a single day. Our software touches every Pixar project (feature films, shorts, and promotional material) and every version of it (Digital Cinema, Blu-ray/UHD, 3D, International). As technology advancements like HDR, 4K, and streaming transform our industry, we are looking for engineers who are passionate about tackling new problems.
You are a versatile software engineer who can wear many hats, from design, development, testing, and support. You are dedicated to writing reliable, maintainable code, in both a new and legacy codebase. You are happiest working directly with the people who use your tools, to understand their workflow and needs. You are an enthusiastic team member, who wants to contribute your engineering skills to support Pixar's film production. You have experience with or interest in image and video processing. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build a robust yet flexible software pipeline to allow our production users to quickly and accurately guide our films through the post production process
• Design, develop, and maintain our codebase, employing strong principles for code quality and maintainability
• Partner with our users to design products around their workflows and to provide support as they encounter new production requirements for our software

REQUIREMENTS:
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3 years working in a professional setting
• Experience with Python, Linux, and web technologies
• Strong software engineering skills, including familiarity with git, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate on a team
• Experience with Agile/Scrum
• Bonus points for knowledge of post production pipelines
