Full Time Job
Opportunity:
Working closely with the Colorist, Editors, In-house Producers and the surrounding staff to ensure client requests are met. In-depth knowledge of Post-Production, digital video workflows and the ability to troubleshoot various Color projects and challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Color project setups
• Color sessions are setup and working correctly (project setup, video monitoring and audio)
• Color session renders according to work order specifications
• QC of the Color session renders
• Color session tape layoffs when needed
• Communication with the Colorist, Editors, In-House Producers and Engineering to problem solve
• Tape machine setups for playback and recording as needed
Job Experience Requirements:
• Two years' experience as an Assistant Colorist
• In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following platforms: Baselight, Resolve, Nucoda
• In-depth knowledge of Color Project tapeless workflows: HD, UHD, 4K, Dolby Vision
• Knowledge of various file formats, codecs, color space, and video legalities
• Technical ability in troubleshooting Color session projects and other related challenges
• Basic knowledge of Avid, Flame, and Terminal Commands
• Highly detailed, self-starter, punctual and a strong work ethic is a must
• Excellent communication skills amongst staff and clients
• Flexible schedule at times with the availability to work overtime and some weekends
Additionally:
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain and contribute to the development of digital workflows by keeping up with current trends and technology
• Flexible hours to work around client and studio needs.
• Maintaining best practices for content security and client confidentiality.
• Keep project status knowledge up-to-date on anything that is needed to be done.
Post Production Background:
• 4-5 year's employment in Post Production
• Baselight, Resolve, Nucoda
• File based workflow experience
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred; advanced degree in Film is a plus.
