Job Summary:
Develops, directs, and manages the Human Resources function for entire Company (Picture Head, Formosa Group, and Picture Shop) to promote a culture that emphasizes a superior workforce in line with the Company's mission and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manages the overall provision of Human Resources (HR) services, policies, and programs for the entire Company
• Directs the implementation and dissemination of company-specific HR policies and procedures through HR staff, while maintaining the individual complexities and integrity of each Company
• Serves on the Executive Management Team
• Advises and assists management on HR issues
• Guides Company morale and culture in order to foster a positive work environment that aligns with Company's organizational objectives
Essential Functions:
• Formulates and recommends HR policies, procedures, and programs for the Company
• Designs and oversees workflow of HR Department; supervises and manages the work of HR staff and provides support and guidance for core HR programs
• Ensures federal and state legal compliance to minimize Company risk and exposure; maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and recommends changes to management
• Identifies and manages government and legal reporting regulations and annual compliance testing pertaining to the HR function (i.e. EEOC, OSHA, ERISA, ACA etc.); acts as primary contact with legal counsel and outside government agencies
• Conducts compensation management: provides salary recommendations, updates Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and serves as liaison with payroll, delivers communication to employees, and provides year-end budget support
• Conducts Employment Agreement/Contract management: drafts agreements/addendums, maintains informational spreadsheets, and monitors expirations
• Directs organizational development including Employee Handbooks, onboarding and offboarding, and performance management systems
• Directs and recommends employee relations practices (i.e. conflict resolution, progressive discipline, performance warnings, fields employee complaints and conducts workplace investigations); counsels and advises management on personnel issues and disciplinary measures
• Reviews, guides, and makes recommendations for employment terminations; conducts all involuntary terminations
• Establishes and leads recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to ensure a superior workforce; makes recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and staff training and professional development
• Directs and oversees the facilitation of management and staff training programs
• Directs Benefits & 401(k) design and administration; leads annual Benefits Open Enrollment
• Develops and oversees Company safety and wellness programs
• Oversees work visa process; consults with outside immigration counsel
• Develops and maintains HRIS - serves as ADP WorkForce Now Security Master (administers all system employment/compensation changes, controls administrative and practitioner access, approves all new hire entries)
• Directs the preparation and maintenance of HR reports and audit requests, as necessary
• Participates in executive, management, and Company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of the Human Resources function and the general operations of the Company; general knowledge of various employment laws and practices; ability to develop long-term strategic plans and programs in line with Company's mission and objectives; ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the requirements of senior management; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with both senior management and staff; excellent interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills; strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced work environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to demonstrate sound judgement under pressure.
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment, including Excel, Outlook, and Word; database management and record keeping.
Position requires professional responsibility and the highest degree of discretion.
Educational Requirements:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree; master's degree and/or HR concentration is a plus. Minimum of 10-12 years experience in a Human Resources leadership role. Experience at a post production and/or entertainment company preferred.
Certificates and Licenses Required:
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
General office setting; no special requirements.
