Full Time Job
Job Purpose
To perform administrative, technical and financial functions for employee benefits department.
Primary (Essential) Duties:
Administration and funding for all benefits plans:
Timely enrollment/termination of employees and qualified dependents in all medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and retirement plans
• Communication with vendors to resolve enrollment or invoicing issues
• Funding of all employee and employer contributions to applicable plans within the funding timeframe required under EIRSA
• Maintaining the data integrity of employee benefit information in HRIS
• Processing benefits enrollments and changes in HRIS application to ensure timely deductions in accordance with company's pay calendar
• Maintaining spreadsheet of all employer HSA funding amounts and provide quarterly contribution amounts to ensure timely processing on the first payroll of each quarter
• Performing ACA Administration, including monitoring of hours and YE reporting
• Communicating all benefit changes to Payroll Specialist
• Ensuring administration of all benefit plans meet Local, State and Federal laws and reporting requirements
Paid Time off Accruals
Performing quarterly audit of each employee's paid time off balances
• Reviewing and making corrections to time off balances subsequent to annual rollover and throughout the year as needed
• Auditing and resolving Paid Sick Leave discrepancies for part-time employees under Prop 206
• Partnering with HR to resolve any discrepancies
Accounting Functions
Reviewing, coding and electronically submitting benefits related invoices for timely payment
• Preparing monthly benefits JEs
• Maintaining all applicable schedules and records and provide support for audit of worker's compensation and retirement plans
Application Support
Building and maintaining Life Events and Open Enrollment session within the HRIS application
• Assisting with training and support of employees with respect to the technical aspects of benefits enrollment within the HRIS application
• Providing support for PSL balances and requests within time and attendance application
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
• Attention to detail, excellent communication, analytical and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentially of employees' personal data and Organization's financial data
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience/Education Requirements
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of payroll or financial experience
• B.S. in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Ultipro experience preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Traditional business hours with occasional weekends, evenings, some holidays and some overtime to meet business needs
