Part Time Unpaid Internship
The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for assisting Center Court Studios – Creative Design
and Video team with graphic design and production of material requested by departments
across the entire Suns organization; as well as, maintaining and organizing the photo archiving
and video file server across all brand events.
What You Will Do:
• Assist in designing promotional materials in a look consistent with our marketing
campaigns such as ads, flyers, posters, social media, marketing collateral
• Tagging, organizing, and maintaining photos across internal photo archiving system
• Tagging, organizing, and maintaining video files across internal video archive server
• Learn to prepare and package files for prepress and printing
• Assist in basic photo manipulation, crop, color correction
• Prepare co-branded PowerPoint presentation decks and templates
• Assist the Creative Services department on other projects as assigned
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
What We Need From Our Intern:
• Proficient in Adobe CS-InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Premiere
• General knowledge of basketball terminology
• Understands basic photographic principles
• Possess strong typography and layout skills
• Knowledgeable or understanding of motion graphics and video editing
• Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new software and skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented including proofreading skills and excellent organization skills
• Proficient in Mac & PC
• Possess high integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
Education and Experience:
• A rising junior or senior in a 4 year accredited college program or bachelor’s degree, or recent graduate (Creative Design Major (or pursuing) preferred with a GPA of at least 3.0)

• Traditional business hours with occasional weekends, evenings, some holidays and
some overtime to meet business needs
• Approximately 20-30 hours per week
• You must have housing in the Phoenix metro area for the duration of the internship
(Housing will not be provided by Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury)
• Indoor work
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to walk short/long distances
• Climb Stairs
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Work Indoors, away from the elements
• Ability to work and communicate in noisy environments
• Ability to judge distance
• This role is computer based and will require extended periods of time working in front of a
computer screen
• Capable of distinguishing colors and shades of color
• Capable of listening carefully and speaking to others on the telephone
• Communicating with others to exchange information
• Ability to respond quickly to sounds/alarms
• Ability to see and respond to dangerous situation
• Ability to Read, Write & Speak in English
