Part Time Job
Job Purpose:
Assist the Game Presentation department pre-game, during the game, and post-game with a variety of duties. This is a seasonal position from May 2018 to April 2019 and applies to Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and Arizona Rattlers.
Primary (Essential) Duties
Pre-game
• Assist with delivery of radios to various staff and departments
• Distribute fliers on seats and bangers
• Organize and roll in-game promotional t-shirts
• Prepare all in-game props, signs, and flags
• Check-in with pre-game performers and assist with presentations
• Select contestants for in-game promotions/events
• Brief contestants on promotions and collect waivers
• During the game
• Monitor the games at North and South tunnels to assist as needed.
• Assist with promotional set-up on the court and coordinate prize distribution
• Check-in with half-time performers
• Select winning rows for promotional give-a-ways
• Assist during time-outs as needed
• One crew member will be selected as the Team Lead to facilitate events on the 200 level.
• Post-game
• Assist with free-throws and all team clean-up Other duties as assigned
• Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
• Available to work 7-8 hours per home game, arriving three hours before and departing 1 hour after each game.
• Professionalism, judgment and maturity in handling confidential matters.
• Outgoing personality with ability to direct and command attention from large groups of people.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and work under extremely tight deadlines
• Must be a minimum age of 16. Candidates under the age of 18 must provide a valid work permit before employment may begin.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
• Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, some holidays and some overtime to meet business needs.
• Must be available to attend all Suns and Mercury home games.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, climb stairs, work in high elevations and enclosed spaces.
• Must be comfortable working in large crowds.
• Noise levels in the work environment are frequently loud.
• May be exposed to outside elements
