Job Purpose
The Community Relations Manager will successfully develop and implement fully integrated Community Relations programs designed to provide the finest community leadership and better the lives of people in Phoenix and the surrounding communities and enhance the game of basketball. Individual will focus their time and efforts on developing the following pillars: Education, Health & Wellness, Sport of Basketball and Community Development. This individual is to serve as the connection between the Suns and Mercury Players and all Business Units when it comes to community, partner and business appearances
Primary (Essential) Duties
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
Ability to organize large amounts of information and present top-level summaries
• Professional in appearance, attitude and attire
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire others
• Balanced analytical and creative thinking
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to thrive as part of a team
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
• Focus on results
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
• Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, some holidays and some overtime to meet business needs
• Traveling to and from events required
• Extended periods of standing
• Some events may be outside and may be exposed to extreme temperatures
