Full Time Job
Job Purpose
The Audio Visual Engineer will manage all audio and video engineering duties for all events in the arena. This will vary from small meetings to large scale sporting events and national touring shows.
Primary (Essential) Duties
• Manage, monitor and install audio and video systems and troubleshoot problems for all arena events
• Acts as back up to various production roles (Director, Shader, Click Effects, etc.)
• Manage, maintain and repair all LED digital signage hardware and software
• Manage in house cable MATV service
• Interface with clients to manage their audio and video needs
• Manage control room and cable infrastructure of the arena
• Order , replace, and repair triax, fiber, coax, and XLR cable
• Manage audio and video signal flow to detect and solve problems in a fast paced and high pressure environment
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
• Live audio and video production experience
• Ability to adapt to last minute changes
• Must be familiar with radio frequency
• Integration of in house and network TV feeds
• Understanding of all production control room components
• Knowledge of Audio and Video Signal Flow
• Ability to terminate and solder cables
• Knowledge of acceptable decibel levels
• Setup and programming of OES scoring equipment
• LED signage repair and maintenance knowledge
• Excellent communication skills and listening skills
• Ability to work in high pressure situations
Experience/Education Requirements
• High School diploma required
• College degree preferred
• 2 or more years of related experience
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
• Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, some holidays and some overtime to meet business needs
• Ability to climb ladders and ability to walk on catwalk 90 feet above the ground level and other extreme heights
• Exposed to very loud noises
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
