Technology Services Associate (Part-Time)
Title: Technology Services Associate
Department: Technology Services
Reports to: Technology Operations Manager / Technology Product Manager
Status: Part-time hourly
Position Overview
The Technology Services Associate position is a part-time learning opportunity designed for individuals that have an interest and/or are pursuing coursework in Information Technology. Associates will work closely with the Technology Services team to support users, address issues, and further technology initiatives and support all departments within The Phillies.
Scheduling
Associates are part of a rotation of 3-4 individuals that cover games throughout the season. Associates
are required to report to work 4 hours prior to the start of the game and must stay through the end of the game. On non-game days associates will work as needed during standard business hours, e.g. 9am-5pm schedules are made 2-4 weeks in advance throughout the season.
Responsibilities
• Assist Game Day operations by completing routine checks of technology to ensure all technology is set-up and runs prior to the start of the game
• Respond to users requiring assistance and manage a queue of support tickets ensuring the timely resolution of issues
• Collaborate with team members to research and resolve issues
• Assist in the deployments of PCs, tablets, phones, network equipment, applications, and other technologies
• Assist in hardware, network, and application troubleshooting, e.g. password resets, printing issues, application configuration, rebooting switches, and other supporting tasks
• Assist in performing preventative maintenance and upgrades on PCs, tablets, phones, network equipment and applications
• Assist with technology life cycle management by inventorying new assets, reassigning devices, and decommissioning devices
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in an Information Technology or Computer Science degree program studying Information Systems, Networking, Application Management, Computer Repair, and/or related topics
• Foundational IT skills with strong desire to learn and develop these skills, e.g. installing operating systems, configuring applications, connecting peripherals, setting up networks, troubleshooting issues etc.
• Experience working with applications, networks, and/or hardware
• Exceptional time management skills
• Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
• Ability to work both independently and as a part of team
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds
• Experience working with Windows and Mac OS in a technical support environment preferred
• Knowledge of recent versions of Microsoft Office (2010, 2013, 2016) preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of cloud application, e.g. Box, Slack, Office 365, G-Suite, Jira preferred
