Position Overview:
The Broadcast Engineer position is responsible for the successful day-to-day maintenance and operation of the TV production equipment, infrastructure and elements of IT technology that supports the activities of the Philadelphia Phillies Broadcast and Video Services department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide gameday and/or event technical support in Phanavision control room, including occasional gameday or event technical planning.
• Perform non-gameday installation, configuration, troubleshooting, technical support and repair of broadcast technologies, television production and related IT equipment across multiple functional areas.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of Audio-Visual technology within ballpark meeting spaces, including occasional equipment set-up and operation.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of ballpark Cable TV systems and displays.
• Contribute to capital project planning by evaluating and recommending infrastructure components, software, and tools.
• Other position related duties as assigned. Some travel required.
Qualifications:
• Due to the nature of Major League Baseball games and ballpark special events, this position's variable weekly schedule will include nights, weekends and holidays.
• Minimum of five years' experience working as a broadcast engineer in television, video post-production, system's integrator or digital media organization.
• Technical Certificate or Associate's Degree in electronics, computer or related field.
• Knowledge and experience in both IP and traditional video/audio based technologies design and support.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift and carry 50lbs.
• Experience with Windows and Apple desktop computer equipment and software applications.
• Experience in project management.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize under time constraints and work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them on schedule.
