Variety Business Intelligence (VBI): International Research Coordinator, Asia (Japan and South Korea)
VBI-the paid digital products division of Variety and the entertainment industry's premier data service provider in film, television and digital entertainment- is currently looking for a bilingual International Research Coordinator to cover Asia. The International Research Coordinator must be fluent in English and either Korean or Japanese. This person will work within our flagship research & data solution, VarietyInsight.com and will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Research. This role is based in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities:
Research, collect and enter current television programming data and film metadata originating in Asia,
Research television projects on the air and released feature films with surrounding metadata, including talent, companies, and executive contacts covering Japan and South Korea
Leverage existing relationships and build new relationships to verify and build-out website content
Ensure overall accuracy and data integrity of Japanese and South Korean television and film information on the Variety Insight website
Work collaboratively with VBI team
Qualifications:
Fluency in English and Korean and/or Japanese
Bachelor's degree
At least two years of experience in the entertainment industry within production companies, agencies and studios
Strong understanding of online entertainment industry information resources
Strong knowledge of the international entertainment landscape in international entertainment landscape across Japan and South Korea
An eye for detail and passion for the minutiae surrounding the industry
Strong interest in research, information and ''grids''
Excellent software application skills across Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Drive
