Job Profile
Position: Development Assistant
Department: Creative Development
Location: NYC, USA
Description:
-Provide direct support to Development Executives in the New York office
-Support the Executive Assistant to CCO in providing administrative support to CCO where needed. Includes screening and prioritizing communications, making appointments, managing schedules, arranging travel, etc.
-Serve as liaison between NY office and Shanghai office, LA office, and other Pearl offices & productions
-Produce and review presentations, research reports, expense reports, payment requests, and other miscellaneous documents
-Coordinate and manage administrative and office needs of the Pearl NY Offices, including purchasing supplies, IT support liaison, landlord liaison, etc.
-Support the numerous Creative Department initiatives and events, including the Pearl Brain Trust, Pearl Magic Hour, Company Offsites, etc.
-Write coverage on scripts and book submissions
-Contribute notes on projects in development and support creative executives in new idea research, development and organization
-Attend to CCO's personal matters as requested.
Requirement:
-Strong skills in communication, prioritization, coordination, organization and follow-through
-Fluency in Mandarin Chinese a big plus!
-Well-versed in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel and Power Point). Photoshop, Final Cut and/or Premiere a plus!
-Pro-active about problem solving, excited by taking on new challenges, and actively engages in creative thinking
-Multi-tasking is essential. Quick thinker who is capable of juggling many things at once and has the tenacity and follow-through to independently see things through to completion.
-Willing to work round-the-clock hours needed for an employee who is based in NYC, but works for a global company that is headquartered in Shanghai, with productions based in LA.
-Quick responder to emails and instant messages - willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
-Passion for animated films a plus!
