(non paying, entry level for current or recent college student - for college credit and perks)
POSITION
Part-time intern to the visual coordinator / treatment designer for partizan entertainment los angeles
WHAT ARE TREATMENTS?
Treatments are a director's pitch. They're what wins a director and a production company a job. They're the creative vision of a director and production company. It sells an idea, and is the basis for all commercial, music video, film, and tv filmmaking.
Working in treatments you'll be working directly with our Directors and Executive Producers.
You'll have the opportunity to develop your own tools to work a little known, crucial, and well paid professional gig, known as visual researcher / treatment designer. It's a great stepping stone for any professional career in top production companies, as well as a great earning gig itself (freelancers average $600 / day).
YOU SHOULD BE
- a very visual creative type (perhaps studying directing, cinematography, graphic design, communications)
- tech savvy (can use or learn mac spotlight search, using finder tags, dropbox, needs very well organized file management)
- know some adobe software (basic photoshop, indesign, premiere, after effects, illustrator, lightroom, any of these are a plus)
WHAT YOU WILL DO / LEARN TO DO
- assist visual coordinator with visual research (find images and videos for treatments)
- assist with treatment layout and design (help make or revise treatments / presentations)
- help manage and organize our visual archive (both physical and cloud/dropbox stored)
- proofreading and version control (read and notice typos and mistakes in the writing, make sure versions are deliverable)
WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO
- coffee runs or anything pedestrian
THE OFFICE
Hollywood media district. an early 1900's deco building, an old newspaper office. A really cool environment. You got your ping pong table, snacks, great artists walking around, other like-minded interns working with executives in commercials, music video, film, and television departments all under the same roof. You'll manage your own time within a determined schedule, as long as you can respect deadlines and get work done.
SCHEDULE
- something like 3 days a week, 9-6 or so. this is TBD together.
REQUIREMENTS
- current university student

- you'll gain the skills and becomes proficient as a visual researcher and treatment designer. this is a little know freelance job that can be done remotely, that every production company employs, and that pays from $200 to $850 per day, with an industry average of $600/day
