We are looking for a Senior Vice President of Current who will report to Head of Paramount Television Studios/Head of Current and Paramount . You will be responsible for both creative and administrative supervision of current series! The Current Department is responsible for supervision of all on-going series. We are looking for someone who has experience with a variety of television formats. Is this you?
Responsibilities
to include, but not limited to:
• The SVP will be responsible for notes on all written material, outlines, scripts, and production creative and is the primary contact with the network.
• Produce the show with the quality and creative expected.
• Administratively, and as primary contact, the SVP works with internal studio and platform departments such as Business Affairs, Production, Post- Production, Legal Affairs, Marketing, PR and Casting, to complete the episodes and series at the premium level established and expected.
• Responsible, along with production, to produce the show within the budget and on time, by supervising the executive producers and the creative material to maintain quality and producibility. The executive in this role is in charge of the show.
• Responsible for large budget shows.
• Develop and manage relationships with talent (writers, producers, directors, actors), identifying the creators and show runners of tomorrow and actively pursuing business with them.
• Partner with development executives on series launches, stunts, press, marketing and general programming needs.
• Interface as needed with other departments on various issues (Business Affairs, Legal, Publicity, Marketing, Digital Media, etc.) through prep and production.
• Spearhead problem solving and crisis management resolution with studio and outside producers on all production and programming issues.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 10-12 years in television/film/content management, and/or development
• Experience and working understanding of a variety of television formats, most importantly scripted hour and half hour
• Ability to work confidently with very accomplished show runners
• Ability to present and lead discussions with C-Suite executives
• Able to work cross-functionally with peers, subordinates, superiors, and key external constituents across all business units
• Sophisticated and highly developed written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills
• Consumer-oriented vision
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to generate high-quality material in a fast paced, dynamic environment; lead multiple projects at once; and flexibly respond to rapidly changing priorities.
• Able to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends based on business need
