This position is responsible for responding to the day-to-day technical support needs of video editors, graphic designers, animators, and other content creators. Support can include installing and configuring software, troubleshooting professional video applications, and assisting customers with general technical challenges. In addition to providing direct support, this position will assist in building and deploying high-end computer workstations, peripherals, and other tools.
Senior Post Production Support Engineer is anticipated to handle the day-to-day priorities with minimal direction. They continually recommend and implement workflow efficiencies and improvements. They provide feedback to other ProdTech teams on customer challenges and the efficiency of our solutions. At the Senior Manager level, they are also looking to have deep experience in some creative applications and tools. They assist in training and performance development of junior staff. The Senior Manager will also learn to evaluate the costs and value of creative tools so that they can participate in selecting and purchasing equipment.
We are seeking someone who has professional experience in supporting and troubleshooting the Avid suite of creative tools, including Media Composer, Media Central/Interplay and Pro Tools. Experience in enterprise deployment of Windows computers is very helpful.
This is a hybrid position with the expectation of at least two to three days a week spent in-office and some time working from home. The exact schedule is flexible and will be determined by the hiring manager.
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 5 years’ experience in customer-focused technical support.
• Strong understanding of Mac and Windows computers, with professional experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software and hardware.
• Professional experience in supporting Avid Media Composer, Media Central and/or Pro Tools.
Additional Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Love of interacting with creative professionals, video editors, designers, animators, etc.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently when needed.
• Positive frame of mind and team motivator.
• Experience in supporting the following:
• Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere and After Effects
• Cinema 4D, Maya and other 3D software
• Professional videos edit workflows
• Jamf and Mac management tools
• SCCM and Windows management tools

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $125,000.00 - 140,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
