Overview:
The Paramount Senior Director, News Program Marketing, leads the development, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns to engage subscribers with Paramount Original News Docuseries, CBS live and breaking news as well as VOD viewership of marquee news programs. This role reports directly to the Paramount SVP Program Marketing, Sports & News.
Responsibilities:
• Developing go-to-market plans and marketing tactics for Paramount Original News Docuseries
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to increase exposure of Paramount Original News Docuseries and CBS News programs in Paramount owned, earned and paid media channels
• Coordinating between CBS News marketing and Paramount on timely News Specials or breaking news opportunities
• Identifying and developing incremental marketing tactics and opportunities to drive additional streaming viewership of news programming on Paramount
• Collaborating with studio producers to align on show narratives which inform go-to-market planning
• Performing and reviewing analysis on the success of News marketing campaigns
Key Projects:
• Lead marketing strategy, planning and execution of Paramount Original News Docuseries campaigns.
• Devise ‘always on' Paramount promotion plans for marquee CBS News Programs including 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, CBS Evening News and CBS Sunday Morning
• Develop P Original News Docuseries research tracking in order to frequently evaluate health of our P Originals in-market in partnership with the Business Intelligence team
• Tracking and leading performance against KPI's
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• 9 years of entertainment marketing experience
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience in digital streaming subscription services, driving News programs
• Shown ability to meet deadlines with notable attention to detail
• A positive approach to thrive in a collective, yet fast-paced work environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to cultivate positive relationships cross-functionally
• A data driven approach to marketing, with experience analyzing and reviewing results
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a challenging, fast-paced environment of multiple priorities
• Excellent oral and written communications skills with strong attention to detail
