We are looking for a Senior Coordinator to join the team!
Overview and Responsibilities
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Paramount Global's digital asset management system, ALIAS/VMS. Provide customer support for digital content to internal resources, particularly the Viacom brands.
• Cataloging of all Paramount Global Library digital assets for broadcast and non-linear platforms
• Assist with the ingest, processing, and distribution workflows of long form, footage, graphics, and music video assets for multi-platform use
• Handle request and delivery workflows of library digital assets to online and production groups
• Restoring, encoding, and ingesting complex and simple assets to make digital files an available option in VMS.
• Quality control testing and troubleshooting of digital files to ensure they meet required technical specifications.
• Quality control testing for the integrity of the library database system and relay service issues to applications team.
• Manage submission and ingest workflow of digital assets from external encoding facilities and productions
• Provide archival research for external teams
• Nurture and maintain work-based relationships with outside productions and vendors including post houses and Iron Mountain
• Ability to develop skills in the areas of ingest, transcoding, clipping and file delivery, as well as research, reporting procedures, and cataloging standards according to departmental policies
Basic Qualifications
• Excellent understanding of digital asset management systems, digital media technology and organizational databases.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrate good judgment and be detail oriented.
• Phenomenal customer service skills; both in communication and follow up.
• Working knowledge of content metadata cataloging practices and digital archiving methodologies.
• Restoring, encoding, and ingesting complex and physical assets to make digital files available in VMS.
Additional Qualifications
• Degree in Library Science, Information Science, Media Studies, or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with Paramount Global programming and cataloging standards
• Familiarity with production & digital technologies
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficient
• Alias Client/VMS Web proficient
• Work Experience in Broadcast Media industry preferred
