The Audience Development team focuses on strengthening and expanding the viewership of content produced and released online by the MTV Entertainment Group brands on digital platforms, with an emphasis on YouTube.
In this role, the Senior Coordinator will support the Audience Development team’s efforts by managing the content schedule of multiple YouTube channels, leading community management efforts, identifying and executing upon content best practices and trends, and compiling competitive reports to provide insights into ever-changing content landscapes across YouTube and other platforms. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for digital media and social media content strategy, an unwavering attention to detail, and be self-motivated, flexible, and able to handle multiple priorities while managing time effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the programming of multiple YouTube channels across the MTV Entertainment Group (MTV, VH1, CMT, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, TV Land, Smithsonian, PopTV, LogoTV)
• Facilitate videos between third party channel management company and various internal video teams
• Lead community management of YouTube channels â€'' interacting with fans, replying to comments, creating social posts on the platform to promote various initiatives
• Work alongside Senior Manager, Audience Development in developing platform-specific video programming strategies rooted in both data-driven insights and creative instinct that drive viewership, watch time, engagement, and revenue
• Engage with multiple video teams across the org to provide insights and best practices for original content, linear based content, and event content
• Assist in creating cross-platform competitive reports and monitor social landscape for video trends and formats
• Knowledgeable in Excel and quick learner on research/analytical tools
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of best practices across platforms for video distribution
• Comfortable working independently to execute projects and adhere to deadlines while working collaboratively with a dedicated team
• Manage multiple newsletters for digital org
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 years digital experience (strong internship experience considered)
