Overview and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for Schedules IBEW Technicians for Weekend News, Evening News and other broadcasts. Schedules non-union Ingest Coordinators for Hard News Center. Runs the usage and scheduling of News editing and broadcast facilities in a 24/7 operation. Communicates changes, project schedules and updates made by production. Processes daily payroll and billing for IBEW employees. Oversees PTO requests and maintains accurate records. Implements COVID compliance protocols for employees. Works with the other divisions of CBS to improve utilization. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to work overtime and have 24/7 connection to phone and email on nights and weekends (to handle last minute requests and breaking news events).
Basic Qualifications:
• HS Diploma or GED Required.
• High level of computer literacy and adaptability to new technology.
• Scheduling experience required.
Additional Qualifications:
• College Degree in Communications/Media/Journalism or related field preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to collaborate well with various levels of employees (i.e., interns, Senior Producer).
• Administrative experience in post facility or broadcast environment is helpful.
• Understanding of news gathering and broadcast operations is nice to have.
• Excellent verbal and written communications and timely responses to communications.
• Integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in New York office as often as management determines.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $60,700.00 - 70,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
