Are you a detailed, standout teammate who has experience working with television producers? Paramount Television Studios is seeking a Development Manager who will work closely with the senior Executives of the division to support the day-to-day development and production of scripted series.
Overview & Responsibilities:
• Works closely with Development Executives, to facilitate efficient and effective operations across the division. Some duties will include; maintaining and developing status reports, preparing meeting agendas, tracking follow-up actions, interacting with external talent and ensuring streamline communications among key partners.
• Participates in the development of scripted series from concept to series and delivery
• Provide creative feedback (written and oral) during the pitch/script development process and during the ongoing production
• Supports series once in production which includes but is not limited to giving notes on production drafts, pulling dailies, giving notes on cuts
• Generates ideas and develop concepts and track IP
• Maintains and establishes new relationships with the creative team (writers, producers, directors and performers), agents and managers with the end goal of identifying outside material and talent for Paramount Television Studios
• Shares key talent, pitches & coverage with team members across all groups to generate notes, input and collaboration
• Handles other related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years experience working with creative executives in television
• Must have strong writing and excellent communication skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Able to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines
• Must be able to handle confidential information
• Strong development history and talent for identifying unique material
• Creativity and curiosity
• Experience in Entertainment Industry
• Extensive experience working with television producers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Airtable, Pix and Excel
Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Have the abilities to problem solve within scope of responsibility
• Self-motivated, self-starter
• Must be detailed-oriented, organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Involved and knowledgeable on what's going on in the industry
